Prior to this match, Oman's captain Aqib Elias has issued an open challenge to Australia.

Aqib Elias challenges Australia to open the competition by playing against Oman. The match between Australia and Oman is scheduled for June 5, but according to Indian Standard Time, it will be viewable from June 6, 6:00 AM onwards. Aqib Elias, the captain of Oman, has already set the stage by challenging Australia.

Noteworthy Points:

Addressing the media previously, Aqib Elias remarked, "Australia no longer possesses the polished players like Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne, who had solid techniques and played against spinners exceptionally well. But now, they lack such caliber players. The current Australian players are more inclined towards hitting big shots. They only try to hit sixes."

Aqib Elias further added,

Every day is not the same. If they think they can have a straightforward game against Namibia, they might face hurdles. Just like when you faced Papua New Guinea against the West Indies. Even though the West Indies had a big hitter, they struggled to chase 130 runs."
